Dee Edington Phd

Dr. Dee W. Edington, Ph.D. is a Professor Emeritus in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan. He served as Founder and Director of the Health Management Research Center. In addition to his research and teaching, he spent 25 years in academic administration. He, with Jennifer Pitts, formed Edington Associates LLC and serves on several Advisory Boards for Wellness Companies.

He is the author or co-author of over 1,000 articles, presentations and several books, including Zero Trends: Health as a Serious Economic Strategy and co-authored, with Jennifer Pitts. Shared Values Shared Results: Positive Organizational Health as a Win-Win Philosophy.

Jennifer Pitts PhD

Jennifer is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Edington Associates, LLC, and Founder of the Institute for Positive Organizational Health. She has more than 20 years of healthcare research and consulting experience in both academic and applied settings.

Before joining Edington Associates, Dr. Pitts spent 12 years with Pfizer Health Solutions Inc (PHS) as the Director of the Outcomes and Analytics unit. At PHS, she was involved with the design and evaluation of health improvement programs and community programs at the local, state, and federal levels across.

Dr. Michael Rucker

Digital Health Expert / Author (U.S.A)

Dr. Rucker is a charter member of the International Positive Psychology Association, a member of the American Psychological Association and is accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine.

In 2016, Dr. Rucker was recognised as one of the 50 most influential people in digital health by Onalytica. He is a peer-reviewed author and currently functions as Verywell.com’s health technology expert, as well as holds the position of Vice President of Technology for Active Wellness.

Dr. Joti Samra

Clinical Psychologist/ Innovator (Canada)

Dr. Joti Samra, R.Psych. is a national thought leader on issues relating to psychological health, wellness and resilience. She is the CEO & Founder of MyWorkplaceHealth, a full-suite national workplace consulting firm and Dr. Joti Samra, R.Psych & Associates, an expanding in-office and online (virtual) clinical counselling practice with offices located throughout BC.

Dr. Samra is a highly-regarded expert in psychological health and safety (PH&S). Over the past two decades, she has been involved in numerous national initiatives that have contributed to policy change in Canada, and is a Founding & Ongoing Member of the CSA Technical Committee that developed the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health & Safety in the Workplace (CAN/CSA-Z1003-13/BNQ9700-803/2013). This Standard is the first of its kind in the world, and is shaping policy development for workplace PH&S at the international ISO level.

Dr. Samra is the lead Research Scientist who created Guarding Minds at Work: A Workplace Guide to Psychological Health & Safety, in which the psychosocial factor frame adopted by the Standard was developed. She is also the developer of the Psychologically Safe Leader Assessment, an assessment and action planning resource that aligns leaders’ skills with the requirements of the Standard. Dr. Samra and her team have extensive expertise in helping organizations implement initiatives related to workplace PH&S including implementation of the CSA Standard; providing leadership development, training & coaching services across a broad range of areas, including emotional intelligence, psychologically safe leadership and mental health awareness; and, providing a breadth of services to enhance employee psychological health, wellness and resilience.

Dr. Samra has received a number of awards and accolades for her clinical and research work. She is proud to be the recipient of the Canadian Psychological Association’s New Researcher Award & the British Columbia Psychological Association’s Advancement of the Profession of Psychology Award. She is also the former President of the BC Psychological Association and past Chair of the BC Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards Committee.

Dr. Angela Montgomery

Psychologist (Australia)

Angie is a Melbourne-based psychologist and consultant with the focus of her work being in the field of organisational and occupational mental health and wellbeing. Angie’s work incorporates best-practice and evidence-based psychological principles in the development and implementation of interventions and strategy to improve the mental health of workers and organisations.Angie has been integral in the content development of novel and creative workplace interventions. Her past work with Wellteq has included being a key subject matter expert and content developer for two Wellteq mental health programs. These programs have been unique in their delivery, by linking the content with the use of wearable technology and elements of gamification to provide information in a dynamic way.

John Toumbourou PhD

Professor and Chair in Health Psychology (Australia)

Leader of Intervention Science at the Centre for Social and Early Emotional Development (SEED) at Deakin University and Chair in Health Psychology within the School of Psychology. His pro bono work advising WELLTEQ has been contributed as part of his leadership role in assisting the development of partnerships and research capacity within the School of Psychology and Faculty of Health at Deakin University.
